Dear passenger, thank you for choosing Albanian Ferries for your next trip to or from Albania.
Before boarding, we would like to draw your attention to a few simple procedures to follow, in order to avoid delays or inconveniences during check-in and boarding.
- Check your ticket: Before heading to the departure port, check the date, time, and ship for which you purchased your ticket. Tickets are nominal and valid for a specific journey. In case of errors or delays not attributable to the company, changing the name/date on the day of departure may incur penalties up to 100% of the ticket cost.
- Check-in: All passengers must check in to obtain the boarding pass, required for subsequent security and border police checks, before boarding the ship. Check-in takes place inside the port terminal and is managed by the port agent staff. Check-in closes strictly one hour before the scheduled departure; no operations are allowed after this time.
- Travel documents: A valid travel document suitable for leaving the country is always required. All passengers, including infants, must have one, as well as accompanied vehicles, goods, and pets, which Albanian Ferries is happy to host on board.
- Boarding: It is recommended to arrive at the port at least 3 hours before departure, especially during the summer high season, as traffic and congestion may cause delays. After check-in and obtaining the boarding pass, proceed to the security check area and keep your documents and boarding pass handy. Follow the signs to the ship access ramps: staff will check your documents and boarding pass and guide you to the onboard reception or your accommodation. Operators provide free assistance to passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility at the ports and on board, including during boarding and disembarking.
- Pregnant women: A medical certificate authorizing sea travel is required regardless of the month of pregnancy; the certificate must be issued one week before departure. After the sixth month or in high-risk pregnancies, in addition to the medical certificate, you must download, have your doctor fill out, and carry a health release form at all times.
- Traveling with pets: In addition to standard accommodations, you may choose the “Four-Legged Friends Cabin.” Pets must have an identification microchip, a valid rabies vaccination recorded in the passport, and a passport issued by a veterinarian authorized by the competent authority.
- Passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility: Must notify the carrier at the time of booking or early ticket purchase about specific needs regarding accommodation, seating, requested services, or transport of medical devices.
